Zero but I need to make something happen so as little as possible, like $150-200. This will be exclusively for very sludgy stuff so I don't need something high quality. I will use stock pups. 26&1/2" or 27" scale. Most of them are big bucks or at least $350ish.

Rondo doesn't have a special baritone section on their website so I think the 6 string ones are mixed in with the regular 6ers.

You may be looking for top shelf on a boxed wine budget. Get the 7 string.

The Douglas.. yeah, I probably should. Might shoot Rondo an email first though. A wider neck means more weight crushing my little shoulder and back.  :D

They have a search function. I searched for "baritone" and came up with this:

EDIT: Also found this Agile LP style baritone on sale

http://www.rondomusic.com/shadow627bk1.html

They also have some other Douglas LP style baritones for under $200. Just search "27", because they put the scale length in the model number to denote baritones I guess.

Ah. Good price on that LP. I'd prefer double cut away but.. hmmm..

This 26.5" Jackson is cheap too- http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-JAC-2910131-LIST

Kinda like the green http://www.rondomusic.com/shadow627tribalgreen1.html

Nice...for that price you could afford to upgrade with a GFS pickup or something as well.

The guitars they sell at Rondo are well made but expect to eventually change out all the electronics and hardware. Also the Douglas Spad is basically an ESP Horizon with a different headstock and shitty pickups. They play fucking awesome though.

I told you when I bought it you'd get dibs.  ;)

On the string issue...I think my big string is a 72 and I tune to B standard or drop-A.  It's tight; you can totally tremolo-pick on it and it's dead-on.  Yeah, my tremolo-picking sucks, but I'm saying that if YOU did it, it would sound dead-on.  ;)

Ah. Or get something better down the road and keep it as a backup maybe.

My Scroll(25&1/2" scale) has a 56 for the low B and I think it's tight enough for tremolo picking although I don't do anything fast like death metal, just mid-paced at most. It's kind of loose but tight enough for me. Lately I've been trying to tune most of the strings a tad flat so that they are closer to on when I actually fret notes but not so flat that they sound flat open. Slightly tricky.

That Yamaha is beautiful.

"tribal green"? Looks more like emerald wizard eye green. All of that cream should be black though.

Turns out these pups are actually like 9.5 lbs  :(

Looks like Ocean of Stars will have a very worthy debut this year for SXSW

Still waiting for final confirmation on 2-3 big shows, one of which being an official SXSW showcase, which fell into our laps. And we didn't even have to apply. Hahahaha!

If there is a pedal that likes floppy low strings it's the super/hyper fuzz. Damn. I don't actually need a baritone but still want one.
