I know this is a long shot, but it worked a couple of times on the good ol' stonerrock.com so it's worth giving it a shot but if you know anyone in the Los Angeles area that would fit the description shoot me a message!

Because even though women are becoming more present in this scene, it's still a heavily male oriented environment. The idea for this project is pretty specific. I know a bunch of amazing dude drummers, but I need a fellow female for this one.

I've been getting that kind of response a lot, so my answer is basically in auto-pilot on that one. Thanks, I hope so too. I found and amazing guitar player through that ad though, so my drums and bass duo dream might not happen after all.

Now I'm also looking for a guitar player (vagina is optional) for a noise project with Skillit on drums. But I'm getting a ton of responses for that. Still getting nothing on the female drummer.

recently was on kijiji (canadian craigslist/ebay) looking for drummers and saw this:

All jokes aside though, I spent like 4 months looking for ANY young drummer in the area and ended up with nothing really- seems like it'd be more likely to find a unicorn then a young feminist punk drummer. I wish em the best of luck but it was just one of those

Hmmm I found a lady guitar player and she wants to jam to some Bedemon so that's cool. I also got a reply from a chick saying she's more of a guitar and bass player but that she can play drums too. She has no videos though so I don't know, I'll have to investigate that a little more.

The project with Skillit though should shape up fairly quickly. Already had a bunch of guitar players showing interest so that should take off fairly soon-ish. And yes, amazing posters and artwork in general!

I think I found the drummer! So fucking stoked she's interested! She's the drummer for Black Sabbitch, a Black Sabbath tribute band! Sending her a message, waiting for the reply and the whole conversation was more stressful than any online dating I had to endure.

But they both look very down to earth and drama free which was one of my main concerns to be in an all chick band. That and syncing menstrual cycles.
