Stoner Hands of Doom is one of the premier annual gatherings for underground heavy/stoner/doom music in North America. SHoD has been held annually since 1999 in various small venues throughout the USA. Many acts are unsigned/unreleased and many travel thousands of miles to gather in the name of rock. The concept was dreamed up by promoters Rob and Cheryl Levey, who have planned, booked and organized it since its inception. Under their guidance, the festival affectionately known as SHoD has grown over ten years from a one-day event to a weekend-long gathering, featuring over three dozen bands.

Quick update we are happy to announce we have added Doom legends and old and good friends (they played the first ever SHoD) While Heaven Wept they will be playing last on Saturday Nov 9th. One of the first and most original Doom outfits in our lifetime they and must see. I thank Tom and his mates for their support and lets have a party.

2013-09-06 03:00 - US Doom Metal act WHILE HEAVEN WEPT is currently celebrating its 25th band anniversary. To have the world take part in this overwhelming achievement, the Viginia based band will be headlining two hand selected shows on global grounds.

First off will be Stoner Hands Of Doom XIII in Richmond, VA on November 9th, which will see WHILE HEAVEN WEPT entering stages on a saturday night.

 Brendan Burns of The Eye of the Stoned Goat has stepped in, spoken with SHoD's Rob Levey and Strange Matter in Richmond, and the fest will take place, at least for this year
