Sounds pretty rad to me.  Sorry if you come after Feb 7th & can't hear it.

Kinda cowboy drone or something.  Makes me happy.  Slowly nodding my head to awesomeness.

Kept listening... Kept thinking... "Seriously, just rock or something." and it never happened. :(

I dunno, I quite enjoyed it. I downloaded the leak a month or two ago. It's pretty awesome. I like the last album, too... Pentastar is still the best, but the last two are really damn good. It's a nice change from the norm.  :)

It's a very nice continuation from "The Bees Made Honey..." album. Very sullen and atmospheric. If you're looking for it to rock, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

I just wish their new songs had a little more movement. If you took all the riffs from their last couple of albums, shortened the number of repeats and put them all together it would probably be one of my favorite albums of all time. They set up such great scenes and then get stuck.

hell yeah i enjoyed everything from Pentastar to Bees Made Honey, the add on the cello is a nice touch for what there doing now.

E9th

Pentastar is my least favorite.
Earth 2 is drone the bible and a masterpeice.

The three most recent albums take a vastly different approach. Faux spaghetti western on ludes.
I like them very much and look forward to getting this new album on vinyl.

Since Earth is a local band for me, I have seen them quite a bit over the past 5 years. Invariably in the audience there are a few people who dont get it. I hear them mumbling angrily "stop tuning and play something!" or "this is boring!" or they'll walk into the venue, look around all puzzled , scratch their heads and leave.
Myself, i am greatly attracted to the open spaces in the music. The hanging notes, the repitition of theme. The negative space and minimalism. I think Dylan is a genius actually. As Jake said, if your expecting them to "rock" you'll be disappointed, thats jus not what they do.

What prompted the bump back to E9th, if I may ask, there E9th?

I didnt like that the members page displayed my real email address, i asked sleestak how to get rid of that and he never responded.
So I went to change my email address inmy profile to fuckyou@gmail.com and then I could never log back on as Chovie D again till I got the some gay ass verification email...so i created E9th again. fuck. Its better and slightly more anonymous anyway so i dont care that it happened.
