Well I'll take this opportunity to promote my band Curse the Son.  We have a new CD out "Klonopain".  7 songs, 48 minutes of fuzzy doom...no cookie monster vocals though.  Check out the tunes we have posted and drop me a message, let me know what you think.
$5 shipped in USA, if you are overseas let me know and we will work something out.  Got a couple live vids on the page as well.  Enjoy!

EDIT: Moved, and new-threaded. Enjoy, clowns!

VOLVO)))

I'm quite enjoying this. The production is pretty rad... The vocals are fuckin' rad... tones are rad... Rad band.

Thanks Sunn, I worked really hard on this album.
Like some of you, I've been doing this for quite a while and it is nice to finally release something that I am 100% happy with!  It's my twist on the Sabbath/Witchfinder/Trouble grooves that I grew up listening to.
The bass player and myself were in the band Sufferghost previous to this.
Glad you dig it.

Said it before and I'll say it again, shit is fuckin' rad! If you're ever interested in making the treck to Delaware and for a show, hit me up.
By my side I keep my things that I ne-uh-ed! Rest in peace is gonna set me free!

Reverberation doesn't work so well on my phone but what I heard sounded really cool especially the second song. What did you guys use? How did you record it?

Guitar rig was 2 Laney AOR100's, a white standard Meathead, a Meathead Dark, Mesa cab, an old Morley Tel-Ray Flanger/Phaser.
Bass was an old Acoustic head, some disortion off the amp.

Recorded digitally with tons of tube preamps warming everything up.  I used to record analogue 2", but unfortunately that is not an option anymore.  Really took my time getting proper mike placement on everything.  I used to be one of those dudes that just eq'd on the board just because I could.  Now I take the extra time and really get the mic to hear the tones properly.

Basic tracks recorded live in the same room.

I've been engineering and producing for almost 20 years.

Really appreciate the great feedback and vibes.

vocals are killer. guitar tones are classically raw. dedication is clear. glad to hear that you dig what you've accomplished! I like the 3rd track the best
