Looking for band recomendations.

Hey all, new here. Just hoping to get into some new bands. I have been listening to a lot of the following and hope to find some new stuff like it.

Black Mountain, Witch, Dead Meadow, Black Sabbath, Witchcraft, Black Mastiff, The Sword, Pontiak, Sleep, etc.


Im sure these are the more popular bands but im into these sounds. Any other groups like this would be great. Thanks in advance!

I too am pretty new to the scene, I've heard most of the big names in Stoner but I know that's only scratching the surface so thanks for this list - plenty to get stuck into there.  Any others from anyone else?

PS. I'm a massive Soundgarden fan I noticed there was no Screaming Life/Fopp, Ultramega OK or Louder Than Love on there, not a fan of these?  Not a criticism just wondering.  This is probably not only one of my favourite SG songs but favourite songs of all time...

No, definitely a fan of early Soundgarden: used to own Ultramega OK and Louder Than Love, lost them in the "great purge" of '10.  They're on me wishlist though, they will be replaced at some point.  Lost well over 300 CDs that year, working on getting them all back plus about another 200 I never owned.  Bought well over 100 albums last year, replacing probably like 80 that I had lost if not more.  Purges suck, but supporting bands I love twice over is kinda fun.

I would totally recommend Truckfighters. Nebula is a good bet too. And even though they don't fit into the Stoner label, you could always check out the Dead Weather for dat synthy, bluesy goodness.
