Ibanez Soundgear & Gio basses.
P/J basses.
Active basses for the most part but there are some exceptions.
Strat shaped guitars.
Single coil pup configs on guitar and bass, in general though J basses w/ series/parallel option is pretty rad.

blackkrosses

With you on the strat bodies.
Don't care for active guitar pickups either.

Discö Rice

7 string guitars
Pointy guitars
"reliced" guitars
EMG pickups
any active pickups, actually.
headset mics while playing anything but drums
"Fusion" sized drums
Splash cymbals
Drum triggers
Somebody's gonna eat my pussy or I'm gonna cut your fucking throat.

fallen

Flangers.
Guitar straps with barb wire, flames or other designs printed on.
Combo amps. Have had more than enough of carrying these around.
EMGs.
Rack mount or programmable effects.
Cheap patch cables.

Hemisaurus

anything that costs more than a couple of hundred bucks.

Lumpy

Rickenbacker basses
Active pickups
instruments that weigh more than 9-10 pounds
old fashioned drum machines (Alesis SR-16 or whatever)
pedals with 'iffy' switches, or anything iffy.
Synths with digital menus.
Rock & Roll is background music for teenagers to fuck to.

Ditto. Other than that, I'll use most anything. Some of the coolest sounds come from some of the cheapest junk.
Meh :/

VOLVO)))

Non DOD Digitech shit.

No Washburns, Deans or Ibanez (unless it's one of the old lawsuit guitars.)

No needledick strings, 56-12+

Shitty power strips, I always bring my own.

Yeah, it's scarey what some people lay out on instruments and amps, buy cheap, use well.

Corey Y

All the ones I do not/cannot have. Everything else is cool.

rayinreverse

I wouldn't buy a pointy shredder guitar even if it were a great deal.
I'll never buy another Takamine acoustic.
Cheap picks. Claytons always.
Multi effects units of any sort. I'm talking the big multi things. The line 6 modeler series like the DD4,though I wouldn't buy, are usable.
Parker Fly.
Cheap gear that's gonna break after one use generally isn't worth buying.

You paid way more than a couple hundred bucks for your wife...

clockwork green

Who knows because my moods change:
-chorus unless we're talking modulated reverbs or delays
-mandolins, I don't think my fingers are that large and yet I can't help but feel like the necks are just way too small
-Squirer/Epiphone...if I want one of their designs I'll just get the Fender/Gibson version and if I want something cheap I'll go with something more unique

boils down to feel, i hate that and their look. I am a heavy LP user, but if I play Fender its a tele which was my first guitar

Hemisaurus

I don't own anything by Dunwich or Inductor, couldn't even afford the pedals ;D

but you would play it if i sent it to you for free

Hemisaurus

oh yeah, I'm not prejudiced, just cheap. ;)

there's a lot I wouldn't buy, cause I don't think it's worth the money, either it's too expensive, or too cheaply made to be worth any money, but there's nothing I won't play, that's just daft to be gear prejudiced, I'll play a Fender bass if it's all there is, but I wouldn't buy one, unless it was cheap for parts. I have even played a Rogue bass that had been turned fretless by a teenager, it was kind of fun.

Lumpy

PRS guitars. Fugly, expensive, and I've never heard one that sounds good in a heavy band. Who buys them, besides Carlos Santana?

Mr. Foxen

I buy anything if I think I can flip it, but if it wasn't for that: Marshall and Ampeg amps, Gibson guitars. Old enough to be good means they cost more than their worth. And I've never had a positive experience dealing with an Ampeg. Credit to Fender guitars that the original designs were so good it is actually hard to fuck them up.

Opeth?

Hemisaurus

Always fancied trying one of those Fly Basses, light might be a nice change.

I used to dislike strats, but I recently used one on a recording session and dug it quite a bit.
