I busted oot the Salmonella-Nog I mixed just before Thanksgiving.

This was the third time I've made it.
It lost that yellow egg colour by the time I cracked the lid.

So how do you make it?

I bottle/refrigerate it on Thanksgiving and serve it on Christmas Eve.
I give the bottle a good shaking at some point each day.
Although I like fancy-pants bourbons, I use Jim Beam.
Beam & Nog just go so nicely together.

12 Egg Yokes
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Heavy Cream
5 Cups Whole Milk
3 Cups Bourbon
1/2 Cup Dark Rum

Combine Yolks & Sugar and whisk until blended and creamy.
Add Cream, Milk, Bourbon, and Rum.

Bottle & Refrigerate.

Enjoy!

Yes. AKA Racer X. Don't see it in bottles much. Maybe John's Market has it in bombers.

Dude I'm at the Concordia often.  Just got back from Saraveza.  Had a Natian "Old Groghamz" winter ale (brewery is a nano brewery across from the Sandy Hut.  They only do like 2 barrels every 2 weeks).  Also had a Weihenstephaner Korbinian Doppel bock.

Last night I had a Ft. George Omegatex.  Double Vortex IPA.  Amazing.

**Pro Tip** Saraveza has a keg of Pliney that will be on next day or two.

Jeeeebus. Sounds like we should hang out. (If you'll have me...) Gotta say your food related posts are quite impressive. Do you cook for  a living?
I'm definitely a foodie and craft ale geek too. I stay away from Saraveza though because 1) i want to continue to support my local pub & 2) my ex-wife is a server there. We're still friendly, but...you know the rest.

btw, Tyler will prolly drink half that keg of Pliney while on shift!

No I don't cook professionally........yet.  There is an offer on the table for me though at a new snobby beer joint that is in the works.  It's in the 'couve.  beer culture is exploding in the 'couve.  Could be a great opportunity for getting in on the ground floor.  I will run back of house.  Executive duties.  Won't be for a while yet though.
