Saw this a couple of days ago.

You can download the stems for "Curl of the Burl" and do your own version of it. Pretty fun idea IMO. The song is very straight forward. Good arrangement, recording and mixing exercise if nothing else. Doesn't seem to have too many entries either so it's a decent shot at getting a Mac laptop.

Here's my version I did yesterday. My Gibson Melody Maker (w/ P90) a couple of fuzzboxes straight into garageband. If anyone's doing it I suggest you upload a test version first, so you can compensate for what the mp3 conversion and soundcloud upload do to the track.

Don't worry, it's not one of those "get all your friends to vote for you" deals. Mastodon themselves pick the winners. If you don't have anything better to do there are a couple of days left to submit.
