"Meh" is kind, sir. KIND. A better title: "A Horrible Way To Spend 127 Minutes".

An admirable attempt at trying to make a gritty, (somewhat) realistic serial killer movie. However, plot devices, a poor budget, and some questionable camera work, make for this movie to be dull and very unsatisfying. Especially the ending. Very lame.

Decent, but nothing special. You kind of know what is going to happen at the end within the first 10-15 minutes of the film. At least i didn't fall asleep to it.

Meh. Typical bank robbery film format which made the film somewhat boring to watch. Is this the type of movies that James Caan now has to do? His career has certainly took a huge fall.

All things considered, that's not a terrible cast for Henry's Crime.

What's Caan been in that's good in the last 20 to 30 years? The last thing I saw him in, that I really liked, was Thief in the early 80's. Sure, Alienation was okay, but I cannot think of anything else off the top of my head.

Watched Jackie Brown again for the first time in a few years. Probably the best Tarrantino movie in my opinion & its because it is taken from an Elmore Leonard story. Some of his other movies aren't aging as well due to all of his hipster dialogue.

He loved the child, spoke very little, showed little emotion as he protected them..check his face after he stomps that guys head in and the elevator door closes.

anyways..Gosling deserves something for this character depiction, though will probably be more on the IFC/Independent Film front. He nailed it. Very blank, expressionless but not in an unlikeable way. You pitied him and his simple, though violent ways.

This movie was a surprise on all fronts for me.

I bought into the hype for Winding Refn after seeing Vahalla Rising. I fell in love with the atmospheres and the filming of that movie. As boring and non-sensical it was at times, there was something there that few directors of our time could capture, imo.

Immediately went and saw The Pusher Trilogy and dug the 3rd one alot. Now, I read somewhere (may have been in the imdb boards..) that he suffers from aspergers syndrome, and if true, maybe we're seeing inside the mind of/getting a visionary look at what he 'sees'.

After watching Drive on the big screen, I think we're catching early glimpses of a very special director.

He's teaming up with Ryan Gosling, (who is proving to be more than a pretty face, imo) for his next one Only God Forgives which screams of a release for Refn's violent imagery. He is also supposed to do a remake of Logans Run, which I am familiar with, but not sure if it's something I really want to see. Who knows..maybe his reinterpretation will work.
