Inherent Vice is fucking great.

Finally saw this, and I agree with you.  Abstract.  Weird.  Bizarre dialog.  Terrific movie.  I was still thinking about it the next day, and I want to watch it again to try and figure some stuff out.  Highly recommended.

It Follows.  Great horror movie, really well made and suspenseful, with a pervasive sense of dread throughout.

Agreed, but damn what a shitty ending to a great story.....very original, I just wished they would have done more with it.

I liked this film. Has a Western feel to it, and the new Mexico landscape was really nice to look at. Ghost Dog was great, and Keitel played his role pretty good because I hated his character throught the entire film. Definitely worth checking out.

Pretty good.
I bought the book a year or so ago and I'm glad I did. It digs deeper into most of the Crew's history and is well written.
That said, this was still a cool movie if you dig behind-the-scenes- type of musical history stuff.

Looked fantastic for an era-piece, but the acting was somewhat poor and the plot was kind of fucked about 2/3 of the way through. I didn't care for some of the camera cuts as they made the plot a little confusing. It made key moments feel rushed and insignificant.
