The actions is better in the second one, no doubt, but I do really enjoy the minimalistic, no-bullshit approach of the first one.

Yeah, the attempt to be a gangster saga fell flat and got awkward at times.  Better to focus on the action like the first film. 

But the action scenes.... Well, goddamn.  Just fucking amazing.  The chick with the hammers was probably my favorite.

This was ok. Wasn't terrible, but a little predictable. I laughed a few times and a i didn't even fall asleep once during the movie. So, I'll give it a 6/10.

Actually liked it. Dumb and intentionally cliche (at least I hope..) but good for laughs and bad acting. Kind of like the train wreck that is Con Air

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes.......dug it, it was like the "Empire Strikes Back" of the Apes films

I actually thought this was a funny movie. Bateman was pretty good in it, and the line he gave a fellow contestant's mother at the restaurant was hilarious. Of course I can't remember what it is right now. Worth a rent.

I dug it a lot..def a good sequel. it could have ended a little darker. I felt it didnt quite live up to the billing of 'the empire strikes back' of the planet of the apes series though..

Dead Snow 2 - 8.5/10

Just saw Snowpiercer at the local arts theater. The movie critic in our paper raved about it and gave it 5 stars. I usually agree with him, but I would have taken at least half a star off for all the exposition. Show me, don't tell me.

Earth has frozen over and what's left of humanity is circling the planet on a supertrain. The social hierarchy still remains, with the lowly folk in the last car, fighting to get forward in a series of revolutions. Not realism, kept me interested all the way through.

Hobbit 1 -  Meh
Hobbit 2 - Meh (slightly better than Hobbit 1 because the Dragon was cool)
Lone Ranger - Terrible!
Wolf of Wall Street - Excellent
American Hustle - Excellent
Grand Budapest Hotel - Charming. It's a bit slow at first but stick with it.
