Just a blind find...and holy shit, is this good.

I'm sure it will make the rounds from here, after it finishes up on Cinemax, if you don't have it (amazon, netflix...), but so worth your time if you're into solid 70's-era, very dark noir style pieces. Violent, Suspenseful...Has that True Detective Season One feel in cinematography and writing.

Yeah, I gave it a shot and I am glad I did. My only real complaint is it's like Boardwalk Empire in the sense that I feel all the supporting actors play off the main character better than the lead himself.

I was scared it was going to end up like Banshee which got beyond ridiculous after the first season.

Episode 4 epitomizes perfect film making and i thought was the best of the episodes (so far). From out of no where too, this series.

There's a story to tell here and hopefully stays on course.

I like how theyve used music as part of the backdrop of the show, far beyond the soundtrack, but plays an important role in the show.

Can't have it both ways. The show is dark, the heavy acting certainly adds to the tone of the show.

This show is a gift in the world of lazy and tired scripts.


Im seeing decent writing, excellent filming, sufficient acting and plenty of story-line to tap into.
Some of the characters haven't even been "unwrapped" and it's ending shortly. I'm excited about another season.

The shootout at the carnival was great. Olsen's face was obliterated.


I really enjoyed this season. Haven't heard yet if it will be returning for season 2, but they did set it up in case it is renewed.

Season two has to happen. A lot going on, but the layers were believable and well done.

I guess I'm pretty satisfied even if they don't make a season 2.  I hope they do though.
