Anyone catch the first episode? I thought it was good overall, a little cheesy in some areas.

This was an awful mess..shut it off about half way through. Nothing remarkably well done about it at all. Del Toro is slowly becoming the most overrated writer/director of these times, imo.

I could see if this was intentionally tongue in cheek done, but it wasn't. This was cringeworthy hokey bad in parts. Acting was awful..

Thee only saving grace was the old dude in the pawn shop feeding whatever that was in the jar (heart?) and I shut it off when it went back to the plane which was getting uncomfortable to watch, but not because it was creepy or unsettling.

Being somewhat familiar with the source material I am glad this show is living up to expectations. For a while this thread had me thinking otherwise before I even got started.
