I can retube a Marshall for $16, if I get a pile and match 'em myself ;D

I always like the I worship Santa one myself.

But it's a real pain when you deal with complicated part numbers.

Yup, I did that once, too. There are some schematics around using 6ac7 as the input preamp tube. Kinda along the lines of the very first Fenders w/ 6sj7 as the first tube.

Hmm, it's like a remote cutoff or a sharp cutoff pentode or something isn't it?

I should buy a bunch of them, make each of them into oscillator circuits, and play the cans with drumsticks, now that would be a sound ;D

El Zombre

Says here it's a sharp cutoff pentode, can be used for audio but if so heaters ought to be on battery power. Hrmmph.
