I know a guy that started growing hops about 12 years ago in Maryland.  I think he stopped, but I'm not sure why.  Seems like a dead lock for success since they grow in so many environments, they grow vertically so you maximize acreage, and every brewery out there needs them.

Kellie had this Irish Coffee slushy the other day. It was really good.

2 parts Makers Mark Bourbon
3/4 parts Campari
1 parts warm/hot water (no rocks!)
1 sliver fresh orange (remove 1/2 or more of the rind) squeeze and leave it in the bottom (I guess)
1/110th-tap 5-spice. narry a smidge, mainly for the slight heat.
stir

There's a brewery here that had this stuff added onto a German malt order. They are a brewery and as far as I know do not possess a liquor license. The original Underberg is very popular around here but it's technically a fortified wine based digestif so it's ok to have sell and consume on premises without a license to sell hard alcohol. This espresso type s vodka based. I think they effectively smuggled this stuff in. I think they done fucked up if liquor control or the local Unerberg rep finds out. Liquor control is always trying to justify their existence.

These were given to me. I didn't buy them. I'm not a fan of their beer r their aesthetic but I still don't want to see a small business fail either. But if they are shut down it's because of their own damn ignorances.

Clamato and Vodka rocks. Testing various hot sauces, all work wonders.
Hot tip - Daves Hurtin' Habanero is excellent in the mix.

sounds really good. i cannot resist a good bloody mary, or a BM adjacent.

The best bloody mary I ever had, I made tomato juice from a bushel of heirlooms I bought at a farmers market.  About 6 qrts.  To an ice filled glass I added Horseradish, celery salt, Worcestershire, lime juice and jalapeƱo pickle juice.  Poured vodka over the now dirty ice, then add the tomato juice.   Nothing was able to cover up the fresh taste of those tomatoes though.   I learned later that that taste goes away at some point as I tried to make one in January from the same batch of juice and it didn't taste the same.   Maybe if I froze the juice instead of canning it?

Pretty tasty brewskie. Lagunits is always solid and the can graphic jumped off the shelf. I'm tasting an medium to heavy fresh grapefruit note. $1.30/can but an easy gamble.

Lagunitas had a moment in the brewpubs back a little while.  Less available around here now for whatever reason but if it's on tap I always get the IPA because as you said it's solid.
