Quote from: RAGER on June 20, 2024, 09:47:51 AMOh you're out that way?  Never spent much time in Montana. If I got in the car right this second I could be in Bonner by 3 pm. Looks like Bonner is an old mill town (lumber of course) and the amphitheater is built n the wasteland of the mill and yard maybe.

You nailed it. I was just passing through but will head back occaisionally. The tap house has a looong one-piece bar top from an old mill log they dragged out of the river. I guess all kinds of mill yard stuff went in the river until they cleared it out. It looks like a small site, small venue, but they get some names. Apparently Les likes the area and Primus has been a regular regular.

I made a haul of cans and these bottles, which I've been leary of opening for fear of being knocked-oot. But I've no doubt they'll taste good. They have a lot of snow skiing themed/name beers. I went mid Spring and that was good/no snow.

Nice!
Vinyls.   deal.

Anybody try this yet? Bought it at New Seasons   It's pretty tasty. It's definitely begging for rum. I'll try that in a couple weeks.

It's probably pretty easy to make too.

Bourbon & Bols rocks
Bulleit and banana. yuk. not bad though tastes like a banana popsicle. 3/4 Bourbon 1/4 Bols stired. Tastes like cotton candy..a wee bit cloying.

not surprised considering its not a zima or a wine cooler. i know how you roll.

Pissy

I mean, do they even make zima anymore?

I think that beer is closer to a wine cooler than most beers.

Vinyls.   deal.

anejo 2oz
cointreau 1oz
ginger soda 1oz
rocks stirred

riff on a dirty marg substituting ginger for lime juice.
oops forgot the taijin rim spice but theres another round in the works

options: pickled jalapeno jar juice for kicks to suit

Muffin Man

the valentina chili sprinkles are unremarkeable, the brand overstepped. tosser

had recently, probably the best single IPA I've had to date. collab with the very good boutique Obercreek brewery in Hudson valley NY. funky hop combo and they nailed it.
Widowmaker Brewery has steadily become my favorite brewery in the country.

RAGER

Dnice if you ever get the chance to try Block15 Sticky Hands I think you'd be a fan. Block 15 is my favorite brewery. Corvallis Oregon. They self distribute and are very particular in how their beers are handled and stored. You'll never see their fresh beers on an end cap in refrigerated. I've heard them pull accounts due to improper storage of their products.

It's a 3/4 way through fresh hop season here and I've lost count how many I've had. In fact I'm going to walk about a mile to a little brewpub and have some more this afternoon I think. Beer and exercise.

a "B" something close to a B-52. One shooter then some sippers
KahlĂșa+Carolans Irish Cream+Cointreau
hiccup

the Cointreau- it started out clear then slowly pullied up the hues from the Carolans.
Really interesting....science!?

Genesee just pulled this from deep inside the vault. 12 Horse Ale. This is premium. Gold can status. Limited release. Ill be getting some in a few days. Who wants to see a special DCS series where i review Genny beers? im going to talk to my team about that. Get this if you see it.

I was at a Seattle brewery getting my growlers refilled and there's a truck parked right there at the dock full of fresh hops, that had left the farm/Yakima area that morning. I almost fell over from the thick dank that permeated the air. It almost made my eyes water from the heavy duty smell. It might be worth it to ask a brewery when their next load is coming in, just to catch a whiff.
