So scale length does not mean that much in vintage downtuned fuzz doom world in the grand scope of things in our time space continuum?? 😎

former bassist for Korn, is listed as 5 feet 7½ inches
So shorter bassist or doom baritone guitarist will adjust their bass so the headstock is very high for ergonomic reasons like fieldy?? Hmm 🤔

I have been paying attention to the dingwall basses the have neodymium pickups but now alcino pickups in their basses and the intonation and ergonomics are better with the fanned frets. So maybe fanned frets are coming to doom metal muwhahaha 🤣 the dingwall and Spector fanned frets scale length of basses go to 37 inches so at this rate we will be playing stand upright basses soon just like the old days!!
I think doom guitarist would not like the ergonomics of 29" scale length?? I am tall with long arms wingspan but ya holding elbow away from under shoulder creates some tension in shoulder....gotta toughen up for the heavy doooooom haha 🤣

But Monolord band got a lot of attention for B standard tuning and playing very slowly
So maybe we are coming full circle and D standard will be the cat's pajamas now with a pluthera of mainstream offerings and endorsements trying to cash in? Hahaha 😆
I think b standard tuning requires me to play my ampeg v4b with my guitar cabs! Hay korn was rocking fuzz pedals into their mesa boogie triple rectifier 150 watt tube amps 🤣🤣
I feel like D standard tuning is a lot more musical. Low notes start sounding chromatic and not much perceived difference as to the minor or pentatonic scale musicality hmmmmm....

Seem reasonable priced and easy to use with a five string bass don't need to haggle with bandmates about what tuning to use since it is b standard yay 😀

Any thoughts on buying a baritone? I am a sleep/om/hof tone chaser and they use C standard tuning but these guitars are made for B standard tuning like Korn nu metal and yet have alcino pickups so I may buy a Gretsch....thoughts on baritones? I usually mess around with tuning in D standard , C standard, or C sharp standard. But never B standard....might as well just buy a seven string???

I'm going to say that it's probably not the best thing for stoner rock, but in terms of general recording, it's nothing short of amazing. It's not the easiest thing to program, but once you learn it, you can do some creative signal routing.
I sold most of my traditional pedals but kept all my dirt pedals, wah and a boss delay. Ya know - just in case.
I super miss my old 1980's era Digitech 2020 rack unit. Total cheese box but it had sooo many useeable sounds. I miss that box and it easy to stamp out a quick tune, no fiddling around too much, quick and easy!. Also ran it into a cassette tape 4 track yamaha so even worse! so take it with a grain of salt. But I sure miss it. Have fun with your Fractal! and report back! (I have a Kemper. (no serious cmplaints but I need to use it more, or maybe I'd don;t love it? Gimme a real amp in a real room but I do miss the the 80's digital boxes (Peavey, Lexicon, Digitech - all, lovely)
