I froze the ice cream in the same jar I shook it up in. So the top layer was foamy and soft, and it got harder and denser the deeper down I ate. I put crushed walnuts and dark chocolate chunks in it, and those tended to float towards the top. Next time I'll shake it up, then pour into a sealable bowl and freeze it there, so I can stir it around a little while it sets up for the first time. I think it's too hard to reach ti the bottom of a glass jar. Plus it gets messy with the screw on lid of the jar.

I'm still waiting for a food order that includes cream so I can do it that way. 
In the meantime I tried a variation of it with half-and-half and a blended frozen banana. It worked out decent. In part because I had some tasty ground vanilla.

The other night I made some Thai charred meat. Like the kind you might get at some smokey roadside grill in Chiang Rai. Some pork shoulder and belly short ribs marinated in the usual stuff but with the addition of diiplii, makhwaen, and some coriander seed. Yum.






Had some leftovers so I made neua tam. It starts out like jin tup but then you fry it in a curry paste

it's even better than it looks.

Then you could deep fry it in a delicious light beer batter for tempura, wrap it in a Parisian crepe layered with merguez sausage, baste that with Franklins barbecue sauce and a side of blue ribbon baked beans then serve it in a commemorative tote with a bucket of naam phrik on the side. But don't forget the chopsticks?.

Now that's ramen!
