No, you did it the grown-up way. I salute you ;)

The Shocker

Truth.  I just find the Syd Barrett story so perfectly Pink Floyd/Syd.

RAGER

We were asked a few years back to be on the bill for Obits (Rick Fork) first Seattle show.  my drummer said he couldn't do it cuz he was gonna go see The Police.  he didn't last much longer.

update: both guys in my band are wussies.
now i have to scramble and figure out how to play that show with 2 other guys (good thing us 3 have played together exstensively before.)
and my band is in RIP mode pretty much.
we may just record and call it a day.
oh well.

also this thread is bumming me out and i want to delete it.

Sunn can do that.

Drummers can be done by machines, bass players by octave pedals, guitarists by harmonisers, do what you can, y'know.

Google says it'll take me 95 hours to traverse the 1,081 miles of Alleghney Passage, but it's not figuring in I'll be towing my speaker cabs with me on the bike trailer, look for me sometime in early 2013 ;D

Y'know if someone could just invent instant travel, we could get some really good bands going here. Have to be instant, in my experience, a guitarist can't travel more than 20 minutes without it being too much hassle.

Get somebody to sub. Call somebody from one of the other local bands you've played shows with. Somebody who can learn the songs fast.

I drive my brother and his drum set 25 mins back & forth for misfits cover band practice. we're doing shows around halloween.
