Yeah, I was gonna go off my beta bass's headcase.
I was looking at plexiglass http://www.eplastics.com/Plastic/Plexiglass_Acrylic_Sheet_Clear
Think I'd be able to cut it with any normal type of circular saw? If not I think they'll do the cuts for me.
It's kinda expensive but if everything pans out I'll have a plexi-bass, plexi-guitar & plexi headcase.
That's just too cool to pass up.
But if that shit doesn't pan out you're my man, JakeO)))

Someone clarify, can't you build a beta preamp for fairly cheap? Something about channel switching that makes it difficult?

Just seems like more people should be building them in pedal form and using them with a power amp. Then no more repairs?

Well partly, I bought one years ago for my brother when we played in a band together and when he moved I let him take it. So I knew more or less how they sounded I just never played guitar though it. Now that I'm playing guitar more and starting to write for a new project I felt like I needed one again.
