I never got around to calling the cable Co. about my digital converter box that went kaput earlier this year. I just gave up watching tv on tv and it hasn't been all that bad. I don't think there will be a lot to miss from this new season, but maybe I'll be able to catch up on episodes using xfinity via my computer.

If it is the damn #1 show on TV (not just cable), why does it have to look so cheap?  The visual effects still look like ass a lot of the time.

Because zombies?  I watch it with my son and he loves it because zombies.

What I find interesting is that a lot of the ideas the show brings are good, but the execution (acting, dialogue, direction, effects) let it down.

The gore on this show is pretty damn awesome.  I'm not sure what you people are complaining about, although of course whinging is GodShitter's natural state.

Because I've put the time to watch the show from the first episode to the premier, that's why. I have a certain investment in the show though I think it's sliding down hill at a rapid rate. Because I don't have anything else to watch since "Breaking Bad" ended, I guess.

Maybe it's me, but I'm tired of Hershel coming to Rick and summarizing what the "counsel" says and that everyone needs Rick and blah blah blah. Whatevs, it's old. If I hear one more, "I'm going on a run" I'm going to puke. Just say, "we're going out for a supply search, want to go?" The dialogue on this show is bad. The acting is bad. It seems they struggle to find a coherent way to move the plot forward. Most episodes go almost nowhere and are incredibly dull and, failing that, are sometimes flat out stupid.

The show was really pretty quality until things moved into the prison (third season, I guess) and since then, it's become a real turd in my opinion. Yet, as I said, I will keep watching.

Yeah, Hershel is a fucking joke.  I guess he is now the mystical man of wisdom.  What else is mystical is that snazzy prosthesis he is now wearing.  He was so lucky that there was one laying around the prison that fit correctly.
