I really like how they played everyone off one another last night. Mucho deception going on among the factions.

Those dual curb stomps were hard to watch. I mean the first go was enough, but the second just offends my sensibilities

Really? I thought it sucked for the most part. So little of it made sense and soooo many logic problems with the whole damn thing.

"Hate watch" is a perfect term for what this show has become for me.

Well, I do have low expectations.  I was just glad that it got away from the prison and Hershell saying "Rick" constantly.

I thought they would either use the backpacker as a bit of comedy relief(as they pass him on the way back, tell him there's a town a mile up the road) or they would use him as a vehicle to show how hardened they have become.  Guess it was the latter.  Well done.

I found it funny actually.  I was sort of expecting him to end up that way.  It was a very good episode.

Oh I was too.  I guess it was more disturbing to me that the dude had survived that long and as soon as he came across Rick he died.  It almost seems like Rick is responsible for more deaths on the show than the zombies.

Just know that Shifter's opinion is going against popular and critics opinion.  Most reviews I read felt that it was one of the best episodes of the entire series.

That said, I still respect Shifter's opinion.

Definitely one of the best episodes so far, and a portent of good omens for the future of the show as apparently the writer of sunday's episode will be the show runner for the next season.

This issue goes beyond a legitimate opinion critiquing the show (arguably the best part of watching is being able to discuss its pro/cons Monday morning with everyone) and is disrespectful to Godshifter. This subforum is supposed to be drama-free and doesn't need trolls like DL disrupting the discussion. I'm getting pretty fucking tired of the blatant disrespect of the moderators around here as of late by a couple of individuals who cannot seem to control themselves. Clean it up.

Maybe it is the Hydrocodone, but are you referencing me?  I have always kept it clean in pretty much every forum except Gen Disc.  Hell, I even try to get along with Shaft.

I disagree with Shifter, but I see where he is coming from.  Plot holes?  Of course.  Dialogue still stupid? Yes.  People doing things that would get them killed if they were not the heroes?  Sure. 

I just thought the episode was great due to some of the things it made me think about - not necessarily even stuff shown on screen.  Of course with low expectations I was able to enjoy the episode as well - any time the show gets static (Hershell's Farm, The Prison, Woodbury) which unfortunately is most of the time, the show bogs down.

I really liked the episode. I didn't realize they were headed back to Rick's town, but once they said where they were inside the cop-shop, I knew we'd be seeing Morgan again or at least learning his fate. I much prefer crazy Morgan over crazy Rick, as Rick jumps from being sane to losing it far too often to appear believable.

And it's cool, bittah, but I certainly appreciate the sentiments. That said, I can take the hate/heat. It's ok.

If you're a TWD fanboy, I apologize. The thing is with me is I don't watch much television, so there's that (maybe I have unrealistic expectations for a series). Also, I have seen, IMO, a dramatic drop off with this series since I started watching it. I don't know if it's the lack of Frank Darabont, budget constraints, or lazy writing, but whatever it is, it's effected my viewing pleasure.

Sorry if I'm shitting on the parade, but I call it like I see it. As I alluded to, I don't watch much television, so maybe my standards are too high for what is, essentially, a relatively "clean" cable show that can't take things to limit of an HBO or Showtime. Therefore, maybe I judge things too harshly? (I judge most things too harshly, truth be told).

I just haven't liked much of this season, really. I thought last weeks episode was okay, but nothing more. The problems with cheap sets, bad plot logic, and incoherent character actions made me roll my eyes through out the episode. But I'm a cynical fuck, so you can take my opinions with a grain of salt, I imagine.
