I saw it a couple days ago, and huzzah - Loris is dead.

Lori bugged the crap outta me, and I didn't even see season 2. I think (whatever the broad's name is) pretty much knew Lori was meat from the beginning of the season; given she actually tried to convey something other than dittzbag.

and yeah, there was a look on Rick's face when he realized Carl capped potential zombie mom that was really, really intense.

Already mentioned this at The Obelisk, but does anybody expect David Morrissey to say at some point, "I have a very particular set of skills". The dude sounds a shitload like Liam Neeson.

I thought last night's episode was kind of 'meh'. The whole zombie cage fighting match, to me, felt contrived and a bit ridiculous. I guess it helps to show the moral ambiguities of the so called 'Governor' and Woodbury?

Soundgardenia

Daryl is making my hormones act weird... Between riding that chopper in that poncho and then being all fatherly with the baby.. Rawr...

Andrea... Eh
I could play Stairway to Heaven when I was twelve... Jimmy Page didn't actually write it until he was twenty-two... I think that says quite a lot..

i agree about the gov. When comic book dudes told me about him he was supposed to be this evil fuck. Other than the aquariums I haven't seen it yet . Rick flipping out I thought was fun . Ninja girl killing zombies was meh.

I too thought that episode was a bit dull. Hopefully some shit happens in the next one. Looks like the go after Michonne. Hopefully she fucks some people up. And hopefully Rick is done mourning and gets his shit together. Zombie apocalypse tough love. Buck up

I agree that the episode was kind of meh, but it served its purpose of damage control well. I really like the direction this season is heading in.

They can't keep killing two main characters at the time...
Last week's episode was pretty intense, this one was obviously mellow, but there was a phone ringing.. That was interesting.

I wonder if it was in his head , he was out there

Carol is still missing and someone was watching her.. That leads me to think there's someone else on the "undiscovered" part of the prison that is aware that the power is on (remember the alarm going off?)... So I think the phone is real...

That's a good point. I assumed the one watching her was the black prisoner that let the zombies in and turned on the alarm.

couldn't be him cuz he got shot in the face when they were turning off the generators by the other brother with Rick's gun.

Yes, what I meant is I thought he was watching Carol in the earlier episode, but maybe it was someone else entirely. Ala, the potential phone caller.

I thought the episode was kinda...... lame?   .....hmmmm........ no -

... campy! Like a giant heaping serving of camp smothered in tongue in cheek, with a side of delicious schlock.

I get there's going to be camp, but the dude brushing the zombie girls hair and a chunk of scalp comes off, the 'kill bill' camera angles and expressions of ninja chick,  Daryl feeding the kid (ass kicker? really?), rick finding the bloated zombie that ate his wife (I really did lol at that), zombie thunderdome (I was down with until they said it was WWF).

As such Rick's anguish and the dialogue to move the story along seemed out of place to me.

and yeah, it probably was done to offset last week's episode.

He snapped and is down there in the dark axing Zombies - to blow off steam. The same as The Governor.
