Good gear weekend

Good weekend to scratch my GAS this past weekend.  First of all, the new mini-humbuckers I ordered from GFS showed up on Friday, and I was able to perform surgery on my Dillion Firebird knockoff to get them installed over the weekend.  Too bad I'm one low E string away from getting the job done, but that will be fixed soon enough.



And then I made what I think is a pretty decent Craigslist transaction.

Epiphone Casino (2006) with non-matching gig bag + $80 cash

Greco EG-500 (1980) with hardshell case, recently setup and fret dressed

I paid $350 for the Casino when I got it, and never really got much use out of it.  Add the $80 cash, and I paid a total of $430 for this Les Paul.  I know Casino's retail for more than that, and are technically worth more than I paid originally... but I can go into any music store and buy one off the rack if want.  A bone stock, thirty year old MIJ Les Paul?  Not so much.  Regardless of the dollar values, I'm happy with the deal so that makes it a good one.

And I'll get to plug both the Greco and the newly upgraded Firebird in to the main rig at jam tomorrow night.  Good times!

That Greco is a no brainer.  Nice score.
