So I checked this out the other day.  I have never read the book, so I don't know it compares to the book.   I like the first two Motley Crue albums, everything else after that is suckville.
So it was OK, kinda painted them in a favorable light, and played fast and loose with the facts at times.  But I wasn't expecting a serious study of those guys.  Acting was decent, the first half was more interesting than the second half, as it was more humorous and light.  Not a waste of time if you have a passing interest in the band.  Catch it on Netflix.

im not a huge crue fan but i dig shit like this. ill def make a point to see it.

I dislike Motley Crue, a lot, but I liked The Dirt.

I might hate-watch it, if there is literally no other option.
Rock & Roll is background music for teenagers to fuck to.

shows the total retardedness of the band quite alright
i didn´t forget - i just couldn´t remember...

Man, what a jive of a movie...that's what you get when you have the cat from 'Jackass'
fame direct it...WTF...but it seems to coincide w/all the shitty Nikki Sixx decisions makes
of any kind of realness to happen.

I mean, I love the Crue...goes back for me to Shout At the Devil, at my local headshop
on the the Toronto greasy Yonge St. Porn strip back in the early 80's...picking-up the vinyl record,
and hence forth buying up my bandana's, shoe-horn faux ivory-gold earring (yeah just like Vince),
and fucking snake skinned custom hi-shoes from Dr. Johns, another Yonge Street
staple down the street from House of Lords, where you would score ALL your 80's blow and
free head jobs while getting your hair cleaned....oh what days...!!

...but I digress....this fucking movie is an abomination of ALL things Crue. Especially, the early
righteous stuff...I'm talking...Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil and a very Heavy super
coked-out US Festival gig...that to this day is fucking Epic...(look it up kids - 1983 US Festival),
put on by some Microsoft Billionaire geek even back then that had TRIUMPH a local Canadian,
Ontario - Canada band fucking Headline!!!  All due respect, early Triumph was fucking righteous
and up on par w/Rush/Max Webster and April Wine at the time.
Again, digression aside, movie blows chunks, prob'ly why Netfuck is hardly even acknowledging
it at this point.  Shame, cause I loved (The Dirt) the fucking book.
If you haven't, read the book, way more satisfying that this POS amateur laden shite.

i understand that the 4 band members were 100% totally involved in the making of the film so they somehow seem to feel alright with the thing
i didn´t forget - i just couldn´t remember...

Well, like I said, I didn't approach this as a serious exposé of the band's history, and just enjoyed it for what it is.  It's only Motley Crue.

I liked this movie. My favorite scene is when Ozzy snorts the ants and licks up Nikki Sixx's pee pee.
