Not really, but hadn't seen or read much about it, either. It was my seven year old daughter's choice. Turns out it was really bad. Really, really bad.

I had problems with the sound. Too loud and overbearing.  I would have liked it without the sound effects telegraphing the scares.

In my theater when the photos fell off the wall, it sounds liked a kaiju from Pacific Rim was breaking into the theater.

Now You See Me was a weird chaotic mess, not sure where they were going with this but it was poorly thought out - the twist ending was bad and the characters made little sense

Mainly because the story, despite being really predictable, was better than I thought it would be and the movie had some great visuals.

It's a sketch type film like Kentucky Fried Movie. Lots of funny skits like Hugh Jackman with balls on his neck, Naomi Watts making out with her son, a teenage boy going crazy thinking his girlfriend is going to die because she just had her period, Anna Faris asking Chris Pratt to shit on her, an all black basketball team afraid to play an all white basketball team, etc. I laughed a lot so maybe you will too.

I almost saw a free screening of that over at Pixar on Tues.  VERY pissed I had to miss it

not even in the same league as Sexy Beast, so a major disappointment on that level.  it is a good movie, but plot-wise it's like a 15-minute short film that lasts an hour and a half
