Should I route a kicking 1H Gibson for a neck pickup?

So, I bought a killer Korean Hamer Archtop from the 90's, and have been digging having a neck pickup again.

I intend on keeping the Hamer as my 'beater', so I was thinking of converting one of my 1H keepers to 2H.

I have two 1H Gibsons, a 2002 Melody Maker Singlecut RI, & a 97 SG-1.

The SG-1 is killer, both are great as is.

The MM is perfect...After swapping my P90 for a SH5 Custom, I haven't looked back. 15 years with it & I still don't want to change it.

The SG is my "Iommi", 24 frets, 'Fireburst' finish, and a pole-less Fluence Modern in the bridge.

Thinking of adding the Fluence Classic bridge humbucker to the neck position.

Why?

PAF sounds great in the neck for all styles, and the Hot Rod mode will do some nice Kyuss style high output neck tones.

Or, should I just wait & get a 2H Gibson? 1H guitars always seem to have the magic that fewer fully routed versions of the same guitar have.

However, few 24 fret SGs aside from Iommis and CSs exist in the wild, apart from SG1s & SGXs.

Cast your vote...I envision doing this route & adding the FRX tremolo system, there will be little this guitar couldn't do with such a setup...
