Been a closet Jason Bateman fan but more of his comedic roles. Didn't know he had a more serious side until I saw The Gift.

His new show on Netflix starring and directing is pretty good.

I just binge-watched the whole thing over the week, quite enjoyed it actually, the Breaking Bad
influence however is undeniable though, even the conga-background suspense/ironic factor brother
uses is totally ripped off. But pacing was good, writing above par, def....will be watching season II if
there is one.

Late on this...knew about it, and just getting to it. I like it...story starting to branch off a little too much [ala the dreaded Bloodlines...], but still working through episode 5. Visually, and the writing are strong enough, as is the acting. Needed something and this fills the void, unless it comes apart unexpectedly in the second half.

Very well-made but way to obviously trying to be smart and clever. Will watch a second season though. Kudos to Laura Linney for playing a character that is even more annoying than Skyler White.

Never thought Id say this, but I like Jason Bateman's style of acting and it works here. He purveys serious and steady integrity and likability in his roles [evolving out of Arrested Development], and further into The Gift, which was wildly underrated.
