Any of you guys know anything about the Vox guitars, specifically the SDC33?

It's a sick looking axe with some awesome features, and it's under $600.

Might take the bait on this one and see how I like it.

Thoughts?

Agreed, looks really cool, and I love the concept behind the pickups.

If I didn't already have an Ibanez Artist, I'd totally gas for that too.

me too. ever since I saw a thunderbird bass from behind. that long slender neck, and the headstock looks so nice without that stupid overlay they do.

sorry, back to your scheduled programming :-[

we had one of those Vox guitars in used for a minute. It played GREAT. It sounded very good, but it's a bit on the light side for me.  It doesn't necessarily lack thickness in tone, but it could use a little body weight to help it out when you click the pickups to single coil.
Something heady, stupid, and prophetic here.

That seems to be the general consensus.

And the fact that the bridge is adjustable to use pretty much any gauge of string is pretty much the icing on the cake.

I've been thinking real hard about those Agile Les Pauls, but that might have to wait until I get my hands on one of these babies.

Fuckin' gas is killin' me, man!
