I am sad to say the one time I saw Pelican they fit into this category.  In their defence, the sound was also really bad - but I was overwhelmed by the abject avergeness.  One of the few gigs I have left early.
"Beige rock"

i got through 48 seconds of it. at first i thought they were trying to be like slint.

i HOPE i am wrong.

Discö Rice

Sweet jesus... In their defense, they're like 12 years old.

I left during Converge, Beehive & The Barracuda opened up for Hot Snakes and were bad, the band I saw open up for Reverend Horton Heat last weekend wasn't good (Dirtfoot was their name), couldn't stand Cursive but I was dragged to that one.  I'll probably get crap for this, but I left 3 songs into a Clutch set because it was full of meatheads & there were 5 fights in the first three songs.  It was dumb and I left.  I'd already seen The Sword & Graveyard that night and have never really been a fan of Clutch.

That was fucking awesome! It's like they were all playing a separate song. Dude, they are so gonna be cringing in a few years when they look back on this.  ;D
Meh :/

I will get crap for this one!!!! The Misfits in 1997, Jerry Only's bass was soo loud, annoying, and shit sounding it killed the whole performance and I walked out. Sadly enough I actually like the American Psycho album?!?!

ROWDYBEER

hoogie boogie land. Holy shit!

Yeah dont ever go see reverend horton heat  unless Nashville Pussy is opening.

I saw this one band but cant mention there name. Its medal! Ha......Im crackin up.

DustinAR

A ton.

Unfortunately, Bob Dylan was one of them. I'm into Dylan for sure, and I know he's not the best live performer, but man it was really bad that night.

Oh my...
those videos were excruciating!

I played a gig with this band at a very cool place in Pittsburgh a couple of years back and I regret ever putting these guys on the bill. They talked themselves up so much before the gig, to the point of arrogance. Then they took the stage and just died. They didn't know their own songs, they fought amongst each other on stage, the "other guitar player " ONLY played really bad off key leads and the singer thought he was Maynard Keenan. It was so bad I went to the club owner as people were filing out and asked him if he wanted me to get them to stop. He paid us right there. I divided up the cash, and walked up to the stage, handed Maynard his cash and we bolted. They were so so so bad on so so so many levels!

I walked out of a Testament show.  They had been opening for Metallica and had a pa system that could be heard as far away as Chile.  Painfully loud, painfully unaware, screw you guys I'm outta here.
Problem solving whiskey!

Saw These Arms are Snakes opening up for Isis and it was just impossible to watch.  Between them and Minus the Bear (which I don't like but it's way better then These Arms are Snakes) the world got a raw deal when Botch broke up and turned into a bunch of shitty bands.

I can't stand minus the bear. They're like some sort of cruel joke.

I walked out of a Tool show about 10 years ago. Fantomas was opening and thats basically who i went to see. Fantomas was great as to be expected. It wasn't that Tool was bad, but they were BORING! The band stood in the shadows, Maynard was behind a screen, and they relied on a big projector screen for visuals. They played incredible as usual....but i didn't pay to go watch a movie.

Hayseed just described about half of the bands in Pittsburgh.

I saw the Brian Howe version of Bad Company and that was so horrible I couldn't stop, his between song spiels were so bad they would have made Paul Stanley embarrassed.

NoSleepTilSleep

Opeth...twice. I was just too tired and drunk to care by the time they got up there. (High on Fire and Devin Townsend were opening btw)
