i need help please

so im building a new pc just to run diablo 3 on superbly. i figure that while i am at it i want to start sharing my gift of music to the world. the problem is that i dont know jack about any computer programs that i can use. i want to be able to do the drums on the program and i will worry about doing the bass parts myself. or preferably have a friend do them. i already have 4 songs written and memorized. i jst need help in learning how to record them. i want to do this by plugging in directly to the computer

Do a search, on this forum, I think it was Corey describes how he did his demo, drums in the box, bass, guitar etc. plugged direct into the PC.
