working as the customer service manager here:

handling all their warranty RMA stuff, P.A. rentals, custom cable work.

i'm looking forward to it. first career change in 5+ years. the building is right across from my wife's work, so we will be able to carpool together, which is a big plus.

That looks like a good gig. I do something remotely similar to this, with no benefits and peanuts for pay, but I have access to mad gear.

Congrats!

As long as it's a case of "I can't believe they pay me to do this!" I wouldn't worry about getting burned out \m/,

Cool, sounds like you won't have to deal with actual musicians too much, was about to warn you what a total bunch of cunts they are to work with.

Congrats. Not to harsh your mellow but isn't that really just a job in retail? One that happens to involve music but does that really constitute an industry job?

yeah, most likely. it's an 8 to 5-er though. i'm also going to be doing stuff with video installs and marketing trying to get a presence in the local schools.
