In that case I would use a looper like the Boss RC-3 (discontinued) or the RC-5, since they both have a USB port to import or export your recordings, 99 folders to store files and you can set the recordings with the one-shot playback function so they will only play once instead of an endless loop that you have to stop by pressing the pedal twice.
