Had to trade my sweet green metal-flake Hairpie/Muff.  But not bad for $200 eh?

LOUD!  It used to be a P.A. w/ 2 mic inputs.

Well it looks cool, so if it works I'd say it was worth $200  ;D

If it's not a pair of 6L6s, it ain't a Bassman clone.

6L6's.  Here's the ad from Toronto CL.

"I have a Bogen CHB50 all tube head I have converted for guitar
Sounds amazing and loud as hell (Approx 50 watts)
2x 6l6's (Sylvania original vintage) and 3 vintage pre-amp tubes

$250 OBO

I tweaked the gain stages for earlier break-up but you get very decent cleans from it with huge bass response without getting muddy
These amps are beasts and the quality is very robust
I used good caps in the circuit and overall the amp is good to go

So I have a love for old Japanese guitars and currently I need a good acoustic. Really love the old Nippon Gakki Yamaha's.
6 string or 12 string in good condition

Otherwise make an offer

Thanks for looking"

I've eyed a bunch of those Bogen Challengers and other older, converted amps on Ebay before. There are guys on Ebay who seem to specialize in converting those (tube PA amps) into guitar amps. For 200 bucks, a 50 watt tube amp that looks cool? Deal!

My buddy back in Detroit has a Traynor YVM Voice Master PA that was converted.  He was able to convert each mic input to a different tone stack.  Plexi, Tweed, AC50, etc.  All point to point.   Mine is too.  It's working out nicely so far, the Master Vol. is a nice change from my Sunn Sceptre.  But still a decent amount of headroom.  Likes my Tonebender w/ a little tweaking.  That Sunn was nothing but headroom.
