Thoughts?

I noticed drop E tuning and or drop F and using etc type bands SLOMATICS SPIRITBOX SLEEPTOKEN type bands all using Evertune bridge for tuning stability intonation and managing pitch drift from pressing fret hand too hard or heavy chugging

But th GIBSON BARITONE just released prides itself on tuning stability and has 28" scale length

Evertune makes it harder for vibrato and string bends so I'm not sold on it

I still love Slomatics tone even sounds good in my Apple AirPod earbuds and guitar tone for heavy distorted rock usually does not sound that god in headphones earbuds.....still think  SLOMATICS needs a bassist to sound properly heavy ha! But ya Slomatics uses Evertune bridge....thoughts??

interesting but prolly not gonna go any lower than B or A tuning for me.....cant make out the notes in 8 strings all sounds like the same notes and spiritbox etc are using digital amps its really hard to get bands to use in ear monitors in my experience.....RE: 8 string songs sound very similar to my ears

lol those Gibson baritones still in stock not exactly flying off the shelves

The Spiritbox guitarist just uses Evertune live in the third setting but for studio recording does without Evertune In Order to get the pitch drift and just retunes each take 🤔

I hear ya

Experimental

Aesthetic of doom stoner says no 5 string basses....so bassists are stuck with max 35 inch scale length from dunable for primitive man band Monolord etc

I think the Gretsch aesthetic look is good enough for doom stoner....fender baritones have locking tuners so maybe ever tunes not needed for the casual user

Sounds great at any rate for the a standard tuning....strings vibrate moar since not bass heavy gauge and chords being slammed into by guitarists looking for more percussive tones so ya possible intonation drift issues but maybe not that big a deal....i may be experimenting FOR THE ALLMIGHTY CAVE MAN RIFFAGE WORSHIP LOLOLOL not expensive

October 2025 I don't see Evertune live on Slomatics guitar so maybe just studio use?  Their tone cans sound a little tubby on Gibson 24 inch scale length

I am not 100 percent satisfied with this tone and mix makes me wanna add a bass guitar:
