Who'd a thunk it? 2 Diabolicals in one room. A custom 17 watter and a Destroyer 75. A vortex is opening up in this room.

Sexy sexy, diggin' it?
I'm really happy with it. I get from deep muddy tone all the way to shimmering vox like and from badass Marshallesque crunch to chimey Fender cleans. And so much power. I forgot how much I love the 6550 power section after selling my Verellen Mod. T clone. It just thumps. All this out of the 2x12 too. I'm going to bring in the Jenkins 4x12 this week and play.
Did you ever get to beat this amp up?
Fun fact, it originally was designed for kt100s. Ouikut couldnt find them locally, so he had 6550s put in... get some kt100s
I played it a couple of time! Its rad.

Sweet! John wrote on it 6550 or KT88 but I'm all over a set of KT100s. I'll do that soon. I really really like the way it sounds right now. I noticed the plat voltage was a bit high. Probably because of that, huh?
Call John and tell him you have the Destroyer! He'll set you right!

I messaged him. He seemed happy. The bias was really easy after he told me about the two trim pots.
Yeah, dude, I saw him use that thing live, several times. Great amp.
Dear Tom,
YOU BASTARD.
That is all.
I know, Mike! Im jealous.
the Kt120s Tung Sol were originally in the Verellen amps I believe but he had reliability problems with them so he went to 6550s. The Kt120s dont have higher voltage specs for plate or screen compared to say a KT88 but they do have higher idle dissipation limit so you can run them harder than a KT88 and get more power per pair for the same given plate and screen voltage. They do use higher heater current as well.
You stole my fucking post. ;D

Dear Tom,
THE FUX UP WITH THAT MIC? CLIPS?
That is all, you bastard.
My dearest Clam,
The microphone I placed in front of that speaker cabinet is a Violet Design - Gold Finger. It is quite a nice microphone for my needs and you can learn more about it here.
