My brain says "Neat!".
My back says "Ouch!".
My ears say ouch!!!!! Owned a Kramer and way to bright for my tastes
Uh-oh...I hope that's not mine. I wanted a fixed bridge with just a single pickup. Where did you see this?

electrical's facebook, I thought you got the Maestro?
Possible False alarm!
He said that mine would be done this week...I've had this weird thought in the back of my head that with all of the delays it might also be wrong but I figured I was just being paranoid till I saw this thread :)

PM me your last name...
Haha. From pure awesomeness to total depression in under 10 posts. That guitar looks fucking amazing though. Coming from a huge fan of the V.
:-[ fingers crossed fellas

If your posting trigger finger is the same one you use on the trigger of yer gun, you might want to keep the safety on.

Please tell me you didn't get that fucking Masetro trem on it?
enggghhh.
No maestro, 1-pickup (bridge HB) and no pickguard (why have a clear body and cover up most of it?) and set up with 14-68 D'Addario's in B-standard. I don't get Maestro's, they make Bigsby's look like unshakable precision machines.
Now I remember why "Maestro" stuck in my head. I thought you DID get it with the Maestro
I'm stupid.
Also, shut up, Alan.

Fine. Just don't shoot anybody. ;)
Fuckin' gun locks, how do they work?

My Glock don't need no stinking safety.
I just want my V and I want it done right. If all goes well ill be ordering a double-neck from him as well.
Yeah you can love 'em all you want and they won't rust, they will get kind of sticky though ;D
Moral: Never play one of Sunn's instruments if he offers you it :D
You all shut up! :(

Shiddip yer shiddin ip.
I gave up saving for a Rickenbacker to get one of those aluminum neck Kramers.
I got the one with the P-bass style pickups I think its called a DMZ 400 or 4000 not sure.
It is one of the baddest ass basses I ever played I don't regret abandoning my dream of Rickenbacker ownership one bit.
I will make a semi-meaningful contribution. 450 with Schallers and one replaced pickup. Boognish sticker optional.

Having Electrical make a Travis Bean tribute model would be really cool. Speaking of another thread...Joe Preston was using a Travis Bean when he played with Harvey Milk. There's also a Travis Bean documentary in the works.

I knew you'd come through. ;)
A buddy of mine plays with a Travis Bean TB2000 and a Verellen Meatsmoke. He picked up that Travis Bean for 1500 euros (good deal imo), I was fortunate enough to check it out and play through that monster rig. But I was surprised by the weight, I honestly think that my T-40 is heavier. Then I started dreaming about an aluminium neck for the T-40, must be the heaviest bass that'll ever exist but imagine the sound you could get out of it ;D Once I got that T-40 I said to myself: I'm all set bass wise unless I have enough cash to buy a nice Ric but now I might need to rethink that position
So, a couple of TB2000 pics off the interweb for further drooling.

Whoa.
I kinda hate that seem that runs along the sides of the bodies. It's like flash from injection molded plastic parts. I just want to run my knife over it to smoove it out. >:(

I used to jones for a Travis Bean so hard right up until the minute I first played one. Definitely a cooler looking guitar than anything else.
What didn't you like? I've only played an aluminum necked Kramer and loved the resonance and sustain.
First and definitely foremost, it was very likely in the neighborhood of around 16 lbs.
It did have nice sustain, but not so much that it'd be impossible to achieve with an all wood guitar. And not especially noticeable with an overdriven signal.
I had my buddy's Bean for awhile (on the right, below)- and yeah, super fucking heavy, sounded pretty cool, but the neck was too thin for my tastes.

I once read that the more you downtune the more sustain you get with aluminum necks, is this true? And can somebody explain to me how that happens?
Because aluminum is metal as fuck? ;)

Applauded!
Knew there had to be a simple answer to that one ;)
did you read that shit about down tuning and aluminum resonance from some goof that plays in G, 3 notes a minute on a Kramer through 14 amps?
Nope from a guy who mainly plays Dan Armstrongs through Beta Leads until they blow up. He tested a Kramer, didn't like the weight and wondered if sustain was increased if he downtuned, he had the impression it did but wasn't sure about it. At least, that's what I remember.

Sweet!
All that care to evenly space your guits and you didn't center the amp!
My Mat/Electrics are always off to the side.
Josh, did you have "Louder than God," as well?
Yeah, it's on top of "The Worship of Silence" head.

I dont understand it, but it LOOKS KILLER!!! ;D ???
I would think looser (down tuned) strings would vibrate longer because of less tension. Therefore, longer sustain?
Doesn't work like that. More energy lost in bigger movements before it reflects back off the ends.
Anyone know anyone doing aluminium necks in Europe?
Is the aluminum, shiny V a Kramer? Looks like a different headstock...

I can do them if people would come up with the cash. Every time I've done any metal things for music people I've been dicked about though. I've just had my Dad call me in a piss because a guy is all shocked he got invoiced for two days of metalwork and finishing my Dad did for him.

There are no aluminum Kramer V's in this thread just two from Electrical Guitar Company.
