I've had an Electrical on order for 8 months but I'm told it should be sometime in March.  It'll be my third V.

A# is generally my limit when drop tuning. I switched over to those dunlop heavy cores as they aren't such a heavy gauge and anything lower than C isn't working too well with that set.

nice, EGC right?

My guy is a local builder, 3 month build time about so far

Yeah EGC.  I was told 6 though.  I've also talked about a special double neck with him but I'm not going to put down a deposit till I see the V.  I've had a bad run with gear on waiting lists.  My two Toneczar pedals are way over due as well.  I don't get why they can't round up a bit on the wait times, that way if it's done early it's a nice surprise rather than a constant unmet expectation.

Yeah that was a big deal for that fac off. I always knew they'd take a bit of a back burner to your amp builds, but having pic updates made the wait more bearable.

I appreciate it man. I should throw some rubber feet on there as the powder-coated enclosure and stained Verellen headshell create a surface that's slicker than porn set.

you should have your man leave that v all unrouted and clunky and square lookin like in that photo, like a flintstone vitamin verison of a flying V :D

I think I tune my baritone to "drop A" or B standard with the B string dropped to A.
Then I have another one tuned to a 5 string Keith richards with a low droning A string added.
