to a PCB? Or just connected by wires. My buddy wants to re-house his Germania in a bigger box.
i do mine connected by wires
Which pedal is it?
He means Home Brew Electronics (a brand) not home brew electronics (which you brew at home).
PCB jacks can be replaced by chassis mount jacks, and run bits of wire to the PCB BUT do not replace a plastic jack with a metal jack unless you are absolutely sure that it's OK to short the signal ground to the chassis. Most pedals it would be OK, some pedals are odd, I believe there are even a few older positive ground designs, where the case carries a positive voltage.
If in doubt, find a schematic, or post the schematic and ask us ;D
Really I just need a pic of the inside of one of their pedals to see if the jacks are mounted to a PCB. I don't think they're like EHX pedals or Crybabies.
This is a pic of a Big D, doesn't look like they PCB mount the jacks.
