Looks like now is the time to pick one up:

Damn, I might be gripping a semi-hollow. Been wanting one for a while.
Daaaaaaamn...
I want about 2-3 guitars off of that website. That orange strat is calling to me & I don't even care for strats.
If I didn't have my eyes on a Dearmond Jetstar I'd be all over that. Someday...
Interesting. But how good can they be for under 200? I'm sure they need upgrades, but how's the construction.
That's kinda my question. Has anybody here actually played one?
I've never played one, but I read various places that compared the quality to the SX stuff from Rondo. For the prices listed, it's definitely worth taking a chance.
I have an Arbor branded SG Jr that cost $150 new, set neck and everything. Replaced the tuners and it's better than any Epiphone I've played.
My buddy had their Tele and he sent it back. Great pups, shitty necks.
loldammit, was looking right at that tele on the link
.....ok, imma stick with agile then.. the bass i bought is perfection. ill rather chance the agile guitars based upon that.
Personally I'd rather save my money and buy one good guitar as opposed to a few cheap ones.

I'm gonna agree with that on the notion that you're safer with some of the other brands mentioned if you increase your budget some. Recently my old ltd superstrat started going to shit. Had it since '03 and it cost roughly $250 new. considered one of the xaviere models as a replacement, but knew I'd want something more substantial in the long run. Ended up with an Agile AL-3000m, and am quite happy as it not only replaced my beater but is nicer than main my guitar. If you have to keep it affordable, I would suggest the rondo route. Mainly as there's a longer established track record quality-wise. Not dissing GFS or Xaviere, just wasn't right for me or my needs.
If I had the snaps, i'd snag this baby up pronto: http://www.guitarfetish.com/XV-440-Guitar-Solid-Mahogany-Alnico-Dogear-P90s-Gloss-Black-ZG-858_p_2259.html (http://www.guitarfetish.com/XV-440-Guitar-Solid-Mahogany-Alnico-Dogear-P90s-Gloss-Black-ZG-858_p_2259.html)
I wouldn't be surprised if Rondo/Agile/Xaviere are all made in the same factory.
A lot of people think GFS makes good pickups. I'd be surprised if their guitars suck. Could they compare to a 1500 dollar Fender or Gibson? What's that you say, "no"?? ??? I am shocked!!!
I think an Agile LP may actually be better than the current Gibson product (may need a little more setup initially), but Xavierre ain't gonna get it done. That being said, Xavierre guitars would be a lot of fun to experiment on or modify.

Yeah I imagine they would be good little players with a few cheap upgrades. The xaviere's do seem like cool little guitars. And, really at that price it's not a huge investment if its no good. May be worth a gamble, the sx guitars and basses are. Especially if they are built in the same or similar factories as Lumpy suggested.
My exerience with cheepies is that the first things that need to be replaced are the tuners followed by the nut. Fret ends can be iffy, but all the ones I've had had decent necks. Pickups have been hit and miss. Still nothing that couldn't be fixed fairly cheaply.
