Title: Fast fret
Post by: justinhedrick on October 11, 2011, 11:04:03 AM
anyone use it? i have a 9 string and the doubled up pair of g strings makes a really high pitched screech when i move my fingers across it (even into a clean amp). it is definetly the string, not like some sort of microphonics.

not sure if fast fret will solve my problem?

I like Fast Fret on bass (mostly because I play with my fingers) but I can live without it, too. But can't you get unwound G's?

Not sure if it'll reduce string noise. It'll definitely reduce friction...

Then clean them! They could just be dirty, and your fingers are hittin' the raised dirt, and not the flat string. Alcohol pad!
