Bittersweet humor. Hope you find something soon.
First, little bit of schooling. Though I'm working on getting a somewhat decent job for spending cash and stuff in the mean time. No luck, I seem to be in the category of people that business doesn't want. My experience is highly specialized, yet I don't have enough school to get into any career within my highly specialized experience. Kind of in a limbo period right now, feels bad man. I'M SO BORED.
Anyway, there is one thing I want.

Ampeg 8x10 cab really cheap. Preferably ripped and torn tolex so I can justify tearing it off.
Also a gretsch semi hollow. Was ready to buy this week as I had a pretty good payday for a change, but two vehicles decided to shit transmissions this week. So no guitar.

Wireless can be fishy as can headsets. I would research this thoroughly. It is a must that the wireless aspect is post fcc buyout or you will get rf hits and it will suck. Is this for you to drum and vocalize simultaneously? Not trying to tell you what to do, but you could maintain fidelity more efficiently with a wired headset, but if you are going to jump up and run laps around your drums then I understand that you require wireless but if you are gonna just play drums and vocalize you may consider a hard line.
I need to buy some cables.
Currently looking at these...

I can highly recommend this pedal as a good "First DIY pedal". I've built two Meatheads with a switch to either turn the Dark mode on or off.
No, I won't be running any laps, but I don't like being tangled up either. If I need to stand up and fix something, I don't wanna have to fuss a cable, and on a lot of wired headsets I've seen, the wire is incredibly thin and fragile looking. What I need is minimal encumbrance, maximum durability.
You should solder a thicker gauge cable than the standard or shield the fragile cable. i just don't want you to have to sacrifice fidelity if you can help it. I REALLY HATE WIRELESS AND WANT TO FIGHT ITS INVASION OF STONERROCK. I am also bored as fuck, but wireless does indeed suck imho and experience. It would be awesome if you could use a beta 56 on a stand and just get away from the entire headset, but I know this is probably not realistic. Some great singing drummers have used headsets including antischism one of the best drum singing groups. Dystopia used a stand I believe. Good luck DISCORICE

A band. Chances of findinf other people to play rock/metal/stoner/doom with where I live is pretty much nil though :(

its possible but they are pretty close in terms of preamp, the Fog Machine will have more gain and the tonestack from a Hiwatt Dr103 but modded with an extra control and also 4 x Kt88 while the gt120 will be 4 x EL34 and be NMV

nah nah sorry but i can see the confusion as i didnt provide a context. That would be nuts amps + fogger. I own a fog machine of sorts but never use it. I hate the stupid smelling stuff it produces
That's what I was thinking too. :) I'm not too familiar with the fog machine (amp), mainly I was under the impression it was just a title for some variant of OR/EA/Matamp
yea thats not an awful guess
Right now I am planning on a 4 x KT88 amp using Model T iron from Merc with a matamp preamp, hiwatt Dr103 tone stack and one additional drive stage to improve drive to output tubes

anyone have any exp. wth these
i was lookin in the backhole

probably not any better or worse than amps made in china. Fine for "lower" volume level playing. 6W is still loud, I have a SE El34 amp maybe 7W or less. Can still shake my room around through a 4x12
sorry if i confused it actually said m.i.c. on back
you probly know that
it sounded real nice low in the store
store lady wouldnt let me crank it
but i most likely never will anyway

Upon inspection out of curiosity, those look like a killer deal.
You'll be surprised at the (lack of) volume difference between a 6w and a 100w. Something like half the volume, just a little less. Dunwich can provide you the logarithmic db math iffin' you don't believe that.
10W would be ~half as loud as a 100W at the middle of the bandwidth, working with numbers
Those VHTs are great defo happily recommend one, half power setting on them too for actual bedroom playing..

No, I like the Peavey Rage. If you're looking for a small, cheap, bedroom amp, with a useable dirt channel, and that takes pedals. I think it was even mentioned before by me and others. Also has a headphone jack.
I think I'd like an EHX Freeze for a possible upcoming project. I could also use a Headrush E2, so if anyone is looking to unload either, let's make a deal.

Somedude, I've been kind of wanting an Epi Wildkat, but I'm on a Sunnooo enforced hiatus.
I want a small tube head that is quiet enough for late night writing sessions but still loud enough for full practices and gigs and most importantly, is small and lightweight. I've been jamming the Marshall Class 5 combo for awhile and though it is a very cool simple little amp, it's not as versatile as I want it to be. Even hooked up to a 412 cab, it's still a bit muddy on the low end. 5 watts is loud but I want the option for more power. I may want to try out an Orange Dual Terror. The 7/15/30 watt option is very cool. I had a Tiny Terror for about a minute and liked it pretty well.
I also have been wanting a Gretsch hollow bodies. I have always been a fan of the sound and look of a fully hollow Gretsch.
Oh....and I want an Angus Young sig SG. Just because.

I've been wanting another sunn coliseum 300 since I sold mine a few years ago. Help me before I buy this lab series amp I've been eyeing, (not that those are even bad amps).
I think it's time I try an Acoustic or Sunn SS bass head..There I said it..
Also, if anyone has or knows where to get an old Akai Intelliphase, let me know. I want another, regret like fuck that I sold mine.
I have an Acoustic 370. I love it.
I've also got beta leads which sound great on bass... and then a concert bass which sounds great for bass...
this forum gives me MAD gas... great vintage heavy rock gear and clips inspired me to get the BAT Pharaoh so far
GAS that still plagues me:
ampeg V4 1970s but worried about dependability of vintage gear. so that led me to gas for new gear - I like the few clips for Orange Thunder 100 and that it has the 1/2 power switch, but would much rather have a Matamp GT1 ;) :o :o :o
Orange Tiny Terror Combo for portability for jams
since an ISO cab is not gonna tame the loudness of a 1/4 watt head on 7 volume for my apartment really, I want an AxeFXII but I am gonna wait a few years for the updated future model and save up ;)
oh, also this, but its soooo expensive it would prolly get stolen before a rolex watch forgotten at a bar:
do you like these guitars? I would get one if I could afford it, even over a gibson les paul custom silverburst that I have been gassing for forever, if it sounded good...very original looking...I would get it mainly based on looks alone though cause I am a bit shallow about looks of guitars ;) I bet you have not seen em:

I want an AxeFXII but I am gonna wait a few years for the updated future model and save up ;)
I'm waiting for someone to make a software sim I can run on my laptop that's a fraction of the price of the hardware version.
Those Trussarts look cool, but if i was going crazy money on a metal front fiddle, it'd probly be some sort of Zemaitis
(http://www.gitarrentotal.ch/files/ubercart_images/zemaitisgzm501body.jpg)
Mate of mine picked up a Zemitis a while back.
I want to buy a flanger and 2x15 cab.
Correct myself and say it's a Deviser/Bacchus version so pre Greco, here it is:
Those are both really nice, & I esp. like the tailpieces/bridges, but I gotta say I like the look of the Trussart much better. Like the guitar was buried out in the desert for 20 years.
My local dealer has the Trussart guitars in stock.I gotta say, not my thing at all, but damn are they amazing in person. Feels like nothing else I've ever played and just has an amazing vibe going on. Never plugged on in though.
Joe Gore's current favorite is a Trussart tele. I trust the man.
I think Chicago Music Exchange has a few of their models. They're striking in person.
gonna grab my first octave pedal
not w/fuzz
im gonna try out eh multiplexer and the deep dive sounds cool
but cant try
tryin to give my amp some low hangin balls
so mostly concerned with 1 and 2down
any luck with these or others to check out
FoxRox Octron.
I don't get the 2 down thing.
sorry meant 1 or 2 octaves down
i saw a couple that were only did 1 octave up
I've got a vintage Octave Multiplexer. It works great, a little noisy. With analog octave-down pedals, tracking can be an issue. Works better with single note lines, octaves and power chords. Mine's the huge folded-steel enclosure, but the modern ones are in a cast aluminum enclosure and are a lot more durable. Just MHO. It seems that the 2 octave down part tracks a little better than the one octave down.

cool man its hard to stomach $2k+++ for axefxII
latency is a real battle, it is nice to have somthin else outside the computer producing your sound, even if you have something like my quadcore computer or i5 etc... axefx internalizes even the IRs, and I have found that I use the recabinet and it slows stuff down so I just render and use my analog oxford tech21
IRs are best thing since sliced bread, but they slow stuff down so you record a little out of tempo
I want an OLP Bass for a new project. Anyone got one for cheap? Or I've got some stuff I could trade if you'd rather go that route.
One of the guys who posts frequently on the Talkbass Doom/Stoner thread, "JoeVictim" is selling an OLP Musicman. At least he said he was planning on it, I don't think he has it listed in the classifieds there currently, might be gone already. I let him know about this thread.
cool, i have a name on talkbass but i never go on there anymore, thanks dude.
Guitar: BC Rich Mockingbird or Agile 3000 LP
Pedals: Black Forest, BBE Soul Vibe, Echo Park
Buying a new delay this week
i was gonna get the reelecho(thanks for heads up on AHC BTW)
for the ease of looping w/ sound on sound, and the price, but i just came across the vox delaylab
http://www.voxamps.com/pedals/delaylab/
I think its fairly new, but seems easy to figure out
Anyone here have any interest in this thing
any red flags besides "MODELING" which makes me pull hair out when i see that word
thanks
Shot in the dark:
I'm looking for a pair of 8ohm Hellatone 30s or Celestion G12H30s. Preferably English-made vs. Chinese. Not because they sound better or anything, but because I'm incredibly racist.
Willing to buy or trade two spankin' new 8ohm Vintage 30s. (made on Rain Island by paleface/roundeye)
got the delaylab
next is a 2x12 ext cab
then an epi g400

Yup.

How do you like the delaylab Ryan? Warm enough analog simulator? I'm always fascinated with delay pedals, no matter the quality or cool factor or price.

$500 is the max. Hence why I was looking at a used Mockingbird Special X or these two Agiles.

Mine is a 3100m. Will Post pics after bedtime. Not sure I want to sell, but it's the least used in my collection. Not played much, but by LordFinesse.
Here we go:

Not sure if you can tell, but it's Mother of Peal inlay rather than abalone that they offer now. Ebony fretboard, bone nut. Low action. Lower than pretty much anything I have, and the fret tops are pretty smooth.
I'd probably not sell it with the case.
Pharaoh Fuzz, just sold my Keeley TS9
Riffer is on vacation! He will hook ya up, soon as he gets home!
We swapped a few emails earlier, just seeing if anyone had a used one. I don't make a lot jack where I work so I have to spend my cash wisely. ;D
while he is on vacation anyone have a reason for me not to buy a badascan when he gets back
havent heard much about them lately
but pharoah and lstr- cant go wrong, right
also gonna buy a used devi ever electric brown od tomorrow
My Badascan has kicked the LSTR off my board for now. I never ran the LSTR scooped so for me I can get it to cover that same territory in silicone mode.
In my setup I use it in LED mode or no diodes mode as a 'more' Pharaoh. I run my Pharaoh last with the fuzz turned way down as a medium gain sound, Badascan for full gain and one stacked into the other as a 150% gain sound.
Badascan also sounds great with a phaser run into it. My main compliment for BAT pedals is that you can run other fuzzes or octaver or anything into them and they never get blocky or ugly sounding.
whoa
you answered a few questions that i didnt even bother to ask
i have the big muff /tw and it sounds decent
but with an od it only has a miniscule knob position before it seems to fall apart
its also noisy as hell for some reason
thanks man
now im peepee dance pumped
Fuck me, Squier has just come out with some proper Jags.

They also have Mustangs and a bunch of new Teles.
that guitar is beautiful pissy ~.~
Im after a presonus audiobox 1818VSL, I have the 22VSL but two inputs isnt enough now, and some good mics, I dont suppose anyone has any of that for sale?
anyone got info about the company Surf City
some flea market guys have a lap steel for $75
I can tell it aint top notch but i think $50 would take it, unless its an unbelievable piece of crap

Those look very cool. I'm interested in "WTF was that?" type modulation. Comment/review if possible...
For the first time in a really long time I'm very happy with all of my stuff. Sure I'm saving up for a Rick bass, but other than that I couldn't be more happy with my tone and gear. It's a bit unsettling.
Don't worry, it will pass.

Well I didn't buy it today. Not saying I won't if it's still around in a few days but I'm showing some restraint. just cuz i have the money doesn't mean I should get it. If I could off another pedal to offset the cost I would. it's a damn cool pedal though. been wanting one and it's local for 50 bucks less than retail.

I have the Octron, love IT. ALso, the PS6 is rad. Couldn't go wrong with either IMO.
