Fun video. Not my fave style of playing, but this cat is strong.
That pup sounds pretty decent. Don't know if it's stock.

What's the scale length on those?

I believe the necks are Squier Affinity Strat necks, so it should be 25 1/2".

I don't think you can get that particular tone with a shorter scale, speaking from my experience with cheap Fenders of various scale lengths.
