i don;t anymore but I have used the MXR 10 band with success.  I t could be used as a treble booster or clean boost too or maybe even an overdrive.  i used it when we were a two piece for my low end sound on a second amp.

Call 'em by their proper name corrective EQ as in something is wrong.

I use 'em for figuring out what sound I want, then I take 'em out and get the sound properly. I've got a little blue MXR for fixing up guitars.

i use it as a variation for my clean/dirty sound. i use a rogue brand EQ pedal (ALL PLASTIC) that i got almost 7 years ago on clearance from musicians friend for $8.

I do, mines the Fromel Shape EQ. I own it bc it makes EVERYTHING sound better on ANY setting, sounds great for bass or guitar, has only 4 knobs & cost me $100 used. I use mine in buffer mode.

this will explain it better than I can...
