For those of you who still have cd's made. Who do you recommend using for duplication, art and packaging?
I've been using a local company called affordable sound.
3 years ago I printed two albums (1 jewel case 1 digipack) through AMS Rabbit. They were quick but the overall quality wasn't so great (you get the good shit if you do 1000). And they forgot to add the barcodes on the back.
Not using them again.

I've heard Mobineko is good for actual stamped CDs (as opposed to CDRs). They are in the Philippines I think (?) but shipping is free. Supposedly good prices and quality.
I used Discmakers for CDRs and their submission process was confusing and some of the artwork (5 covers out of 100) were faulty. Would not use them again.

Diskmakers were incredibly reliable for me. The rep called me, we discussed what I needed, and by when, and they provided uploading software for all of the artwork. I could check all the artwork over to make sure it looked exactly how I wanted, including in a cool 3-D animated thing. Everything came out perfectly and they delivered on all of their promises.
I'm sure that they're not perfect every time, though my experience with them was an overwhelmingly positive one.
One issue I had with Diskmakers is that the submission guidelines they list on their website are for mail-in submissions. Their guidelines for uploading are different. That was confusing and it meant extra work (when I was hustling to make a deadline).
Also, I wanted a plain silver disc with black type printed on it - as basic as can be. Diskmakers can't do that, for some reason.

$99 for 50, $149 for 100, that's a steal. Of course they are CDRs but CDs are for big bands and labels who need 500/1000+.
