Danny G

A song I recorded for a compilation album for a friend fighting cancer where bands covered her songs.

This is Stupid Drama doing "Baby's Going Back to Jail" written by Izzy Cox.

I recorded and mixed it here in the home jam room using garageband on a Macbook with a 4 channel USB interface.

Nathan Olivarez on Lead Vocal, Acoustic Guitars, Drums, and the arrangement.
Myself on Electric Guitars, Bass, and Harmony Vocals.

Sorry to hear that, Danny.  Getting older in a scene can suck that way. Happened here a few times in the last few years. I anticipate it will only happen more.
Vinyls.   deal.

Is everyone a band now?  ;)

An electronic thing I ended up doing when I started a project to learn to create better-sounding drum mixes (via tutorials and an overhaul).  Kinda fun playing with all those synths.

That's quite good. Remove the drums and it's better than a lot of electronic crap on the scene (no oomph, your track has oomph). You could keep the drums and add guitars to that too, or vocals.

Where are you seeing these tutorials? I just completed a mix and submitted it, and it wasn't very good. But I ran out of time/ideas/talent. I need mix help.

Thanks, Lumpy.

I'll send you a PM on a few of the tutorials that helped me out.

A track from a solo album I'm releasing on October 27th.  I was able to get pretty decent guitar tones with the Kazrog VST stuff and on the mixing/mastering front.  KCLIP 2 and ValvEQ have been on sale most of the summer and are really good for mixing/mastering and both were used extensively on this track.  I'd strongly recommend people that are self mixing/mastering give them a look.

This is just the opposite of just recently recorded. It is a demo from a band Johann Slam, Mike Brumley and myself where in back in 1994.
I did recently dump the cassette onto soundcloud thogh.

I went back to the Blut Aus Bored track, added a ton of synth parts and did some rearranging and new programming, and gave it a proper name.  Gonna keep trying to blend doom, synth and samples in upcoming tracks - lemme know if you hate it, shut it off a few minutes in, it pissed the cat off, or whatever.

Doom / electronic thing I did.  Went back to work on it some more and all of my drum settings are lost - so I guess it's done!  More repetitive / trance-y stuff, if you like that sort of thing.

My new solo album if anyone wanted to check it out.  Somewhat experimental doom/sludge/post/etc.  Substantially better then the previous ones.

First single from my band's new album is out - "High Confessor", off "Worship the Weird".

https://sacredmonster.bandcamp.com/track/high-confessor

Some kind words from Sleeping Village Reviews on it, that probably describes it better than I could:
QuoteWorship the Weird is, without a doubt, the single-most entertaining album I've heard this year, and I'm very, very excited for its release on March 1st. ... High Confessor is a track that ratchets up the riff-centric intensity--both thematically and sonically--with shameless abandon.
