About $150.

Sounds like the ticket, these get good reviews and the online demos sound great. They also make a pedal unit.

I would have loved to have gotten a back patch of "Tails from the Topographical ocean"

Ok, due to schedules won't be able to meet up with Ocean of Stars bassist until after Thanksgiving.

So going in Monday to start cutting guitar until the sax player shows up \m/,

You could make one from a shirt. Perfect for the back of a tunic or robe.

Went to play some mini amps today. Looking for a hi gain/low wattage rig for practice. At the top of my list were the 6505mh and the evh 5150lbx. I got to play the little 5150, and while it was cool, it did not have a true clean channel and lacked any low end whoomp. We think it was the Dr. Z 2x12 (loaded with old Fender Utahs) that made it feel so lifeless even though the gain was great.

Then we tried an orange or15. Not bad at all, especially as it's single channel. Lots of potential in its clean and dirty tones. Way ballsier feeling with a paired ppc2x12 with V30's. Decided to skip on retrying the 5150lbx with that cab.

Still want to try the 6505mh as it has more features and control options, but they were not available. I need to get the return policy in writing before ordering one. Need to call round other shops first. But at $200 less, I hope it is a better option.

I really want an or15 or a hovercraft

I was extremely surprised by the or15. It wasn't really on my radar because of stuff I read on here a while back and because it lacked some features. Not sure it was worth 7 bills to me personally, but still awesome. I probably should have tried the EVH with the orange cab, because it simply didn't move air at low volume they way the or15 did. Again, that made me feel not super stoked for the $700 price tag. Tone was fine, features were a slight let down.

I'm still keen to try higher end stuff like the mini offerings from Engl and Mesa, but the cost will only be justifiable if they really sound and function well.

So Trump is in town tonight for some big ass rally. And I thought that it would be a good time to go down there and let the the people know that their was another candidate(s) that they should consider when placing their vote......one that is a true voice for the people and change.

Check it out

This dude was really cool. He told me that he sang in the Opera and was learning how to play guitar

The guy on the right is our buddy (and a hell of a guitar player) who does all of our recordings

Me trying to sex up a protester dressed like Wonder Woman

I protest you.....Sun Sphere!!!!

Our drummer rocking out to a tambourine that he got off of some hippie

Overall it was a blast. I was there to have fun and make an ass out of myself and accomplished both. A bunch of the Trump supporters were yelling at the protesters and the police presence was nuts. A few of them were giving the drummer and I shit for standing where we weren't supposed to be standing (we weren't in the "Free Speech area") A few cops asked what our signs meant and when we told them that it was our band they were really cool. We tried to get a picture of them holding them but they wouldn't do it.
A few of the protesters asked what the signs meant and when we told them we got a bunch of rolled eyes. Ha ha.

Spirit Caravan was fantastic last night. Played two new songs and a '90s Obsessed song. Early in their set they had some sort of malfunction and I think Sherman was playing the wrong riff or two for half a minute, made me realize that shit can happen to anyone.

Danny G

Playing bass for Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys) this weekend, New Orleans and Houston. Gonna be awesome!

Black Friday deals online on pedals and other gear, look around if there's stuff you've been needing (usually 10-15% off, not mindblowing but it helps). Also, lots of used gear being flipped online now (the gear page, ilovefuzz, talkbass) as people raise funds for Christmas. Great time to feed your GAS.
