Gibson EB6..... Franken EBO Project????

So ive wanted a baritone for a while, but Im and bass player at heart, and like the idea of staying with 4 strings.  I recently came across online the Gibson EB6 and it has me wondering, if I picked up a Epi EBO cheap and installed a set of humbuckers and some baritone strings would it work??  Ive thought about leaving the stock neck humbucker and installing a guitar humbucker in the bridge position, leaving the option of having both. Im working at putting together a 2 bass and drums project with a friend of mine, but want something a little bit different. Any thoughts on this?
