Title: Les Paul wiring?
Post by: kirky on March 03, 2019, 05:08:51 PM
I got a new set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers for $100 off eBay. I'm going to put them in my Electra Les Paul copy. Thinking of redoing  the wiring while I'm at it. Not going to do the full Jimmy Page circuit but thinking of doing the 50s style if it makes a difference. Any opinions on parts or wiring style? Does it matter?

not a huge fan of the ol' style wiring.  I do however like the split coil/coil tap/phase wiring.  my opinion only.

Me too. I just haven't wired any like that yet but have played a couple.

Oh I did finally put that Whole Lotta pups in my Les Paul. I like it.

For my Les Paul and Iceman, I put a .018 cap instead of whatever is stock to give it a bit more honk when I roll the tone knob back for a "woman tone"
